About

I am Coleridge (Cole) Faraday, a PhD student in theoretical physics at the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa, supervised by Assoc. Prof. W. A. Horowitz. My research is within high-energy nuclear theory, focusing on the quark-gluon plasma (QGP)—a novel state of matter that is formed at extremely high temperatures and densities. I am particularly interested in making connection with experimental observations at RHIC and the LHC, understanding whether QGP is formed in small collision systems, and using energy loss to quantify properties of this novel fluid.
